A man, suspected of several crimes committed using a concrete block, was arrested Tuesday, November 12, at Toulon station, in the Var. He was on board a train from Marseille to Nice. The suspect was the subject of an arrest warrant for intentional homicide and attempted homicides and was arrested after committing violence against a female passenger. The latter, Marjorie, testified to RTL.
“When I got on the train, wanted to go and sit down, there was this person who was walking in the opposite direction and who pushed me hard while passing. I kindly asked her to at least apologize, but she didn’t answer me,” confides the young woman. “When I went back to sit down, he kicked me hard in the back and that’s when he yelled at me with sentences in English,” she continues.
“I didn’t understand everything, but I clearly heard that he would be waiting for me when the train arrived,” Marjorie explains again. “The controllers came to see me quite quickly and I was in the cars with them trying to find this person. We ended up finding him sitting at the back of the train,” she explains. Before concluding: “I was shaking with fear, but Above all, I tell myself that thanks to this, potentially, there will be no more victims afterwards.”
