Strange disappearance. The gold Rolex that Liam Payne wore on his wrist before his death is nowhere to be found.
The British singer, who was part of One Direction, died at the age of 31 on October 16 after a fatal fall from the balcony of his hotel room on the third floor of the CasaSur establishment in Buenos Aires . Local police confirmed to TMZ that the artist's father, Geoff Payne, requested that his son's belongings be returned to him last month. However, the watch in question has disappeared.
According to the hotel's surveillance cameras, the British singer was indeed wearing this Rolex a few hours before his death but the police assured that he no longer had it around his wrist when they found him.
According to local media The Nationlaw enforcement searched the singer's room as well as the homes of three people arrested last week in connection with his death.

The defendants – a friend of Liam Payne, a hotel employee and an alleged drug dealer – were accused respectively of abandoning the musician and supplying him with drugs. Still according to the same media, the police plan to return to search Liam Payne's suite to make sure they haven't missed anything.
A source close to the prosecutor cited by The Nation explains that the singer had it “at least two to three hours before his fatal fall in the hotel”. According to the British tabloid The Daily Mailthe Rolex would have a value of 40,000 euros.
Liam Payne's body was recently repatriated to the UK and his funeral will take place in the city of Wolverhampton, where he is from. Liam Payne rose to fame with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan by forming the group One Direction in 2010 on the show The X Factor.
