“More beautiful life, even more beautiful” from November 13, 2024 – summary of episode 212

Ariane confronts Jean-Paul to find out if he mentioned Zoé in his report. Jean-Paul reassures her by saying that he only spoke about the two of them. He warns her, asking her to stop taking unnecessary risks. Ariane, for her part, thinks that Zoé was exemplary, but Jean-Paul reminds her that all this could have landed her in prison. Ariane then reveals her plan: exchange the masks so that the authentic one is returned to the museum. She asks Jean-Paul to cover her one last time.

At the police station, Patrick decides to take the mask to the museum in person. Jean-Paul takes the opportunity to ask for support during Louis' interrogation, but Ariane insinuates that Patrick has difficulty delegating. She offers herself for the mission, and Jean-Paul supports her idea. Finally, Patrick accepts and gives him the briefcase.

Meanwhile, Jean-Paul questions Louis, who admits to having been coerced by Daniel because of a debt, while denying knowing Camille Martin. He admits that he simply came up with the plan. Jean-Paul announces that Ariane has recovered the mask and that he is going to return to prison, but Patrick bursts in, ordering Louis' immediate release. Jean-Paul is disconcerted, but Patrick explains that the affair has become a political issue: Daniel must be named as the sole culprit. The investigation is therefore closed without further action.

For his part, Ulysses returns home and finds Ophelia, who notices his absence during the night. In the middle of preparing for his parade, she questions him about his night, but Ulysses dodges by claiming too much work. Faced with Ophélie's insistence, he gets angry, before apologizing, citing fatigue. Later, Ulysses dictates a letter to Apolline, but he makes mistakes several times. Apolline, noticing his agitation, mentions Julie. Ulysses, annoyed, asks him not to interfere in his affairs. After insistence, he admits that Julie is getting married that day, which disturbs him…

At the Mistral, Ophélie takes care of Thomas and Aya while Nisma confronts Vadim, frustrated by his silence. Vadim explains to him that it was only a passing attraction, but Nisma, determined, pushes him against the door and kisses him. Later, Jules joins Nisma in front of the doctor's office to make sure she is okay, but she sends her away. He expresses his concern for her and for Steve, whom he thinks is still attached to her. Vadim interrupts the conversation, prompting Jules to slip away. Nisma begs Vadim not to tell Steve anything, before an argument breaks out between Jules and Vadim. Steve, for his part, is alone in a park when Camille comes to say goodbye to him. She expresses regret for failing in her mission regarding the mask and for the suffering it inflicted on him. Steve, hurt, asks him to leave.

The big evening of the Ophélie parade arrives. Vanessa and Ulysse are present, proud and moved. While Ophélie enjoys a standing ovation for her work, the evening takes a dramatic turn when Julie, Ulysses' ex, appears in a wedding dress before collapsing under the shocked gaze of the guests.
