Rians. Three medalists, Diamond, Gold and Vermeil. Monday morning, at the cemetery, the municipality celebrated the commemoration of the Armistice of November 11, 1918, in the presence of the National Union of Combatants (UNC), firefighters from Aix/Rians, children from the Max-Millet school , and flag bearers.
At the end of the ceremony, the procession formed to head towards the room of the cultural activities center for the presentation of the medals.
The president of the UNC, Bernard Jacquelin, presented Guy Turpin, 92 years old, member of the UNC since 1970, with the Djebel diamond level medal, and Gérard Maire, 83 years old, member of the UNC since 1984, this same medal but gold level. He also awarded Jean-Claude Demoulin the vermeil level medal of merit for his activist action within the association, of which he has been a member since 2008. He has been secretary general since joining the UNC of Rians in 2008.
These medals are the fair recognition by the UNC of the work carried out by the medalists who invest themselves in fun and patriotic activities.
