Who is the arrested suspect?
According to information from our colleagues in Le Parisien, the suspect, arrested in custody in Toulon on Tuesday November 12, is 32 years old. Of Cameroonian nationality (according to the identity he gave), he is subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF). The thirty-year-old was actively sought and under arrest warrant for attempted murder and murder, in particular that of a homeless man killed on Monday, November 11, with a cinder block, in Lyon.
The Cameroonian was arrested when he had just hit a woman on the train that left Marseille a few moments earlier.
What is he suspected of?
The police officers who arrested this man made the link with an attack on homeless people, similar to that in Lyon, committed with a concrete block, in Rotterdam on the night of November 4 to 5. The suspect fled, taking the train to Belgium. The homeless man did not die but found himself in a coma. According to the Telegraf, the 37-year-old man is still between life and death.
