The report said there was a notable decrease in cholera cases during the second week of June compared to cases reported during the first week.

Currently, the country has four active epidemics, namely acute watery diarrhea (AAD)/cholera, measles, dengue and diphtheria.“, the organization said.

According to the WHO, Somalia is experiencing a cholera epidemic which has worsened since the floods of December 2023, which destroyed health facilities and caused further population displacement.
