So it's official, toplaner Th3Antonio is leaving GIANTX and even retiring as a professional player.
Antonio Espinosa Bejarano, better known as Th3Antonio, officially ends his professional career in League of Legends. Iconic figure of Spanish esports and legend of GIANTX, he retires from the rift to devote himself to content creation and become an ambassador for the club. In a video, he explained his reasons, stating that after exploring options in the LEC, he ultimately decided that retirement was the best solution. “I could play in the LVP Superliga, but that doesn’t motivate me. Competing is about reaching the top, and in Superliga the biggest goal is to win the EMEA Masters”he confided.
Despite his departure from the competitive scene, GIANTX will continue to collaborate with Th3Antonio, who will now focus on streaming and events for the organization. With more than 700,000 subscribers, mainly in Spain and Latin America, Th3Antonio has also found his audience as a content creator. “It’s a difficult decision, but he must continue to develop his personal brand”underlined José Díaz, co-CEO of GIANTX. From 2025, Th3Antonio will be on commentary for GIANTX LEC matches, among the official LEC co-streams from Berlin.
