The production of Russian unmanned aerial systems will increase almost ninefold by 2030 to reach 157,000 units from 17,600 units in 2024, he said in a presentation at the plenary session of the VI Eurasian Aerospace Congress, which is being held Tuesday and Wednesday in the Russian capital. At the same time, he added, the share of locally manufactured drones in the Russian market will increase to 70%.
“The share of UAS manufactured in Russia is expected to increase significantly: from 40% to 70%. The total number of UAS manufactured in Russia is expected to reach 157,000 units,” Dobryakov said. And to clarify that Russia plans to build research and production centers for UAS in 48 regions, which will ensure the development, testing, certification, production and marketing of unmanned aircraft systems.
The number of regions equipped with infrastructure for drone flights should also increase from 3 to 89, according to the same source. The Eurasian Aerospace Congress is the main business forum for the aeronautics sector of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which brings together Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
