Forward Zack Ostapchuk was sent to the Belleville Senators on Tuesday morning while forward Shane Pinto is expected to return to the lineup this evening, after missing the last eight games due to injury. Pinto’s last game in a Senators uniform was on October 22, in a 4-0 victory against Utah HC.
“I feel like the last few weeks have been long,” Pinto said during his meeting with the media at the end of Monday’s training session. It’s good to be back, hopefully helping the guys win.”
Goaltender Linus Ullmark will get the start in goal for the Senators, after helping his team win 3-2 against his former team on Saturday. “It’s not easy to win in this building,” he said after the game in Boston. It’s something we dream about, especially when we come here as an opponent. We really have to offer our best hockey.”
The Senators will have to do it again tonight, as they face the Leafs, who are undefeated in their last three outings. Last season, the Senators went 3-1 against Toronto in their four-game series. It goes without saying that a match between the two 401 rivals promises to be lively and contested at a high energy level, and tonight’s encounter is no exception.
