A father discovered the bodies of his three children this Tuesday around 1 p.m. when returning to his home in Taninges (Haute-Savoie), Le Parisien learned from a source close to the case, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré. According to our colleagues from the regional press, the three victims were aged 2, 11 and 13 years old.

The three young children had stab wounds. According to our information, their mother, who is depressed, is not present and searches are underway to locate her. Around sixty gendarmes and a helicopter were mobilized for the search.

An investigation was opened by the Bonneville public prosecutor’s office and entrusted to the local gendarmerie. If the circumstances of the tragedy remain unknown for the moment, Le Dauphiné Libéré indicates that the family drama track seems to be favored by the investigators.

Last week, two children aged one and four were found decapitated at their home in Sainte-Rose, Guadeloupe, and the mother, found wandering the streets of the town, was interned in a psychiatric hospital. According to the National Child Protection Observatory, 60 minors died violently within their family in 2022.
