The prefectural decree has just been published. The prefect of Vendée announces restrictions concerning the movement of Girondins de Bordeaux supporters to Poiré-sur-Vie, this Wednesday, November 13.
The meeting between the Vendée Poiré Football and the Girondins de Bordeauxas part of the National 2 championship, scheduled for this Wednesday, November 13, at 7 p.m., at the Idonnière stadium, is placed under close surveillance.
The decree, referenced under number 24/CAB/1011, stipulates that “it is prohibited for any person claiming to be a supporter of FC Girondins de Bordeaux or behaving as such, that is to say carrying a scarf, a badge, a piece of clothing, a flag in the colors of this club to access the area of the Idonnière stadium in Poiré-sur-Vie. »
A context of increased vigilance
This measure comes against a backdrop of tensions. Bordeaux supporters groups Ultramarines and North Gate Bordeaux are known to be the cause of several clashes this season.
Particularly during the match against Guingamp on February 24, 2024 and during a trip to Rodez and Annecy in March 2024. Just as before the Bordeaux-Paris FC match, in March 2024.
The prefecture also fears a descent of Nantes ultras of the Loire Brigade in the town of Poiré-sur-Vie to do battle with their historic adversaries from Bordeaux.
Reinforced controls by law enforcement and organizers are therefore planned around the stadium to control the flow of supporters and avoid any slippage.
