On November 7, the Washington Post revealed the holding of a telephone conversation between the new American president and Vladimir Putin. The newspaper assured that Donald Trump had urged the Russian president “not to intensify the war in Ukraine” and reminded him of the “significant presence” of the American army in Europe. They also reportedly discussed a possible peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. But the Kremlin denied the existence of this conversation on Monday.
