HCL launches the first teleconsultation in France for consumers of “laughing gas”

The Hospices Civils de (HCL) are launching the first teleconsultation in to help consumers of nitrous oxide. You have undoubtedly already seen young people (or even very young people) inhaling nitrous oxide – a laughing gas – through balloons. Over the past five years, this recreational use of nitrous oxide has exploded, particularly among those under 25.

A not-so-funny “laughing gas”

The problem is that this gas can be potentially addictive and dangerous, in particular causing irreversible damage to the nervous system. To try to stop the phenomenon, HCL is launching, this Tuesday, November 12, a teleconsultation specially dedicated to consumers. This is the first in France. Ultimately, the system will be supplemented by tele-expertise, intended for health professionals. The objective: to create a real support network.

“Nitrous oxide” teleconsultation. Four 30-minute slots open every Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Make an appointment on 04 72 11 78 52 or on myhcl.sante-ra.fr
