And the RSMA is leaving today for a five-day tour of the island, hoping to collect donations for the Te Mau Aito 987 association.

The adapted military service regiment and the RIMaP-P are organizing a day of solidarity with the wounded of the army, echoing the national day dedicated to them. Like last year, it will be sporty with an aquatic and land course open to all at Vairai Park on Saturday June 22. Simply go to the RSMA Facebook page to register (discovery course for ages 10 to 15 and timed race for ages over 16), individually or in teams. It is intended to raise awareness of the cause of those injured in the army and also to raise funds for their benefit.

And today, the RSMA begins a five-day march for a tour of the island, always for the benefit of the wounded of the army. Four stops are scheduled: Papara, Faaone, Tiarei and Arue. At each of these stages a ballot box will be available to the public who wishes to make a donation. And 100% of these donations will be donated to the Te Mau Aito 987 association, which brings together war wounded, wards of the Nation, war widows and veterans of French Polynesia. The association works to provide better care for the injured upon their return to fenua. Injury is a reality of the military profession, both physical and psychological. The injured are treated in military hospitals and monitored by the specific aid unit which supports them and their families. This concerns the purchase of equipment if necessary but also support until a possible retraining in civilian life if the person decides to leave the army. The population is invited to meet them to support the injured Polynesians and the walkers.
