Another scene

A first stabbing scene took place on February 4, 2019 around 10 p.m., during a fight between Faïssal and Bilal. Faïssal had been stabbed in the rear right side of the chest. These facts were initially attributed to Bilal, while the entire family disputed them, but the rest of the investigation focused suspicion on the father, Mohammed Hassar.

The most important scene took place on August 28, 2019 around 12:00 p.m. Suffering from a stab wound to the chest which had penetrated the lung, Bilal collapsed at the front of his home and died. He allegedly got angry on the day of the incident and broke furniture before his father hit him with a kitchen knife.

Mohammed Hassar is accused of the murder of his son Bilal and attempted murder of his son Faïssal. He is defended by Me Renaud Molders-Pierre and Me Laurie Peraux. The accused appeared free during the first introductory hearings in the case. The prosecution carried out the arrest and he now appears detained.

After reading the indictment, Mohammed Hassar's defense did not wish to communicate its position regarding the guilt of the accused. Me Molders-Pierre asks the jurors not to form any opinions or prejudices at this stage of the examination of the case. “Wait until you have heard the witnesses and the pleadings before having a definitive opinion,” he said.

The defense has nevertheless already mentioned the time which has elapsed since the acts of which its client is accused. Mr. Molders-Pierre believes that a problem of reasonable time arises and that it could have an influence on the different memories of the witnesses.
