The long-awaited DLC

A few days before the long-awaited release of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreethe major extension of‘Elden Ringpart of the community is mobilizing to help players overcome the challenges of the base game and access additional content.

Indeed, to begin the DLC, it is imperative to have defeated two major bosses: Radahn, the Scourge of the Stars, and Mohg, Lord of Blood. However, according to statistics, a minority of players have achieved this feat. On Steam, only 38.7% of players obtained the achievement linked to the defeat of Mohg, which is required to access the expansion.

Faced with this observation, Bandai Namco, the game’s publisher, published a friendly reminder to players, emphasizing the need to defeat these two bosses. In the community, the concern is palpable: a large number of players could be deprived of access to Shadow of the Erdtree.

On Twitter, Sekiro Dubi, a recognized dataminer and content creator, launched a call for help, citing the need for a new hero, like Let Me Solo Her, to guide players towards the DLC.

The call has been heard. Many players spontaneously offered their help, volunteering to take on bosses alongside those who needed it. On Twitter, some even announced that they were ready to intervene in the Mohg arena to lend a helping hand.

This solidarity movement also extends to the subreddit r/BeyondTheFog, dedicated to Elden Ring multiplayer. Many messages offer assistance in overcoming Radahn and Mohg, with the aim of allowing as many people as possible to access the expansion.

The solidarity doesn’t stop there: dozens of players who previously asked for help have tagged their posts with the tag “Duty Fulfilled”, indicating that they managed to defeat the bosses thanks to the help of other players .

This beautiful outpouring of solidarity testifies to the generosity and spirit of mutual aid that animate the Elden Ring community. It also shows that, contrary to popular belief, not all players are ready to abandon their Terni comrades in the face of difficulties.

Beyond the practical aspect, this mobilization has a strong symbolic significance: it reminds us that video games, and Elden Ring in particular, can be a place of sharing and cooperation, where mutual aid prevails over competition. As the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion promises new challenges, it’s heartening to see that the community is ready to tackle them together, in the spirit of solidarity and camaraderie.

As a reminder, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is scheduled for June 21 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
