The athlete reportedly suffered a head injury after a piece of metal falling from a van went through her windshield. The projectile would have ended up under the wheels of the car behind that of the young woman, causing a chain accident, with the two cars colliding. The French woman was immediately admitted to the emergency room, while an investigation was opened to determine the causes of the tragedy.
According to the daily Meeting the 1st, Justine Mauvin “would still be hospitalized in intensive care in serious condition, her life-threatening prognosis”. According to information from Daily newspaper from Reunion and the Indian Oceanhis relatives would have asked that his privacy be respected, after “certain people tried to enter the department where Justine is currently hospitalized by pretending to be a relative or a doctor”. His family said “very shocked”specifying that “following these incidents, police measures have been put in place to protect integrity” from the victims.
