Like last year, July 14 will not be celebrated in Verchers-sur-Layon. The Animation Committee is instead organizing a festive day at the stadium which will take place this Sunday, June 23. This day offers hikes and a garage sale at the Petites rivières stadium. From 6 a.m., garage sale participants will be welcomed by the organizers. The linear meter is 1 €. The 8 and 13 km hiking trails, as well as the 15 and 45 km mountain bike trails will leave between 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. The participation is €5.
Everyone will be able to eat on site, grills/fries on the menu, an ice cream parlor and a candy stand will also be present, a musical performance of “funny and touching songs” by Éric Feilleux will liven up the afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. h.
The Animation Committee is also preparing several events.
On Saturday, August 3, the summer market will take place at Place de Maupéou in which many local artisans and traders will participate. A Trompes de chasse concert with the Échos du Lys will take place at the stadium on September 21 followed by fireworks. A new feature with an “empty your room” leisure room and a balance bike race will take place on Sunday, November 3, while the Christmas Market on Saturday, December 14 will close the season.
The Committee is always calling on new volunteers to continue to run its community.
