Released on October 25, 2023 in theaters in Tunisia, after having made its world premiere at the Warsaw Film Festival, Poland (October 6 to 15, 2023) where it was selected in official competition, “Take my breath” tells the story of Shams, 23 years old, seamstress living on an isolated island and a hostile social environment, with her mother and her disabled sister.

The young woman, seemingly calm and quite discreet, carries within herself a heavy secret that she dares not confess to anyone and the revelation of which will end up turning her life upside down.

Shams was born with a sexual variation. She experiences this conflict between the sexes, hormonal and psychological, and before her situation is revealed, she leaves her village in search of an identity
