The 2024 Belgian Short Course Swimming Championships were held in Ghent. Florine Gaspard won three national gold medals in 100m and 50m breaststroke as well as 50m freestyle.

Florine Gaspard entered the competition on Sunday, the second day of the events. Bastognard was entered in the 100m breaststroke. During the heats, the swimmer from Marseille managed the third time and slipped into the A final.
During the final, Florine Gaspard was in the lead throughout the race. The Olympian finally finished in the same time as the Czech Kristyna Horska at 01:05.73.
Two gold medals on Monday
The medal harvest continued on Armistice Monday for Florine Gaspard. In the 50m breaststroke and freestyle, where Bastognard holds the Belgian records, Florine held her position as favorite.
Florine completed the 50m freestyle in 24.09, one tenth of her record achieved a few days ago during the French championships.
A few minutes later, the 22-year-old swimmer won the 50m breaststroke in 30.35, 55 hundredths more than her national record.
With these three new gold medals, Florine confirms her excellent form at the end of the year.
