A man burned to death in the passenger compartment of his car on the evening of Sunday, November 10, in Pau.
The vehicle was parked in the middle of a street in the Ousse-des-Bois district, north of Pau. According to our colleagues from South West, a witness saw the car arrive and parked. Shortly after, the man inside reportedly caught fire.
Residents tried to help him and according to several testimonies, the man was screaming in pain. In vain. The man died from his injuries.
The victim gave his name to a witness but this identity, that of a 28-year-old man, must be confirmed.
The Pau public prosecutor's office opened a murder investigation, entrusted to the judicial police branch, and ordered an autopsy. However, the possibility of an accident or suicide has not been ruled out.
