The PLC says “Yes” to the new Constitution and “No” to the CEO –

The Executive Secretary of the political party, For Change (PLC), Anges Kevin Nzigou, during a public clarification meeting held this Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Nzeng-yong 2 public school, raised awareness and motivated the populations of the 6e district of Libreville to say “Yes” to the new Constitution and “No” to the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), the former ruling party which was ousted on August 30, 2023.

“It is important to say that we are not with the CEO, because there are several people who have said that they are voting “no” because the CEO is voting “yes”, but I understand these people, because this party destroyed this country and from that moment on we have nothing to do with them and I say it: yes to the new Constitution and no to the CEO”nuanced Mr. Nzigou, executive secretary of the PLC.

The preliminary draft constitution which will be submitted to the referendum on November 16, aroused the indignation of this lawyer and politician. He had been very critical of this fundamental law. After amendments, this constitution now fits, according to him, with the deep aspirations of the Gabonese people.

“We support the CTRI but that doesn’t mean yes to everything. But I would like to clarify something: I will never be an instrument for one power or another, I do politics of my own free will according to my convictions”he said before calling on people to vote massively for “yes” on November 16.
