The president of the Vendée department does not mince his words.

In a press release posted on social networks, Alain Leboeuf supports the public works company Charpentier TP, victim of the fire of nine of its machines, in L’Oie, in Vendée.

He denounces:

I condemn with the greatest firmness these actions of which this Vendée company has been the subject. No, ecoterrorism has no place in our democracy!

“We cannot tolerate that in our Republic, such acts and threats against people, on the part of ultra-radicalized minorities, can be carried out with complete impunity,” writes Alain Leboeuf.

“If differences of opinion can exist, they must be within democratic debates,” he adds.

Let us remember that this fire which destroyed eight public works machines and a dump truckMonday November 25, 2024 in the early morning, was claimed by an anti-basin collective, Stop Mégabassines.

The La Roche-sur-Yon public prosecutor’s office indicated that the hypothesis of arson is for the moment favored.

The investigation was entrusted to the research section as well as the Vendée gendarmerie group.
