These P’tikonsthese are the little terracotta men of the Aube artist Eric Doué. They are exhibited with the creations of Stéphane Cerutti who comes from Haute-Savoie. At the same time, you will discover another artist from the last century, Timunearthed by chance in a garage sale by collectors around twenty years ago.

Humor and a lot of imagination

Have you ever used a feelings intensity tester? Certainly not. Unless you have already had to deal with the funny machines of Stéphane Cerutti who is exhibiting at the Château du Tremblay until June 30. Objects in shimmering and contrasting colors, which you can handle (gently), and which are accompanied by small explanatory sheets not without humor.

But that’s not all. Éric Doué’s ptikons hit the mark in these funny machines. Sometimes, they even become one with the universe of Stéphane Cerutti. The two artists have indeed worked together. And the least we can say is that the result is explosive.

Ghislaine VetterPresident of the association of Regional Center for Contemporary Art at Château du Tremblay in Fontenoy presents this exhibition to you, through the microphone of your portable music player.

A mentally challenged creator released from anonymity

Ghislaine Vetter also tells you the story of Tim, whose works are also on view until June 30. A son of an American born in Haute-Marne in 1918 and died in 1968. A mentally retarded person who, according to those who knew him, was always smiling and friendly. Twenty years ago, collectors discovered it by chance during a garage sale. They then came across hundreds of drawings and a vast world, one he had invented, with its own alphabet and characters like the nature goddess, Magadalamama. Tim : a unique artist, who will touch some of you, young or old.
