2024 continues to be an exceptional year for Nemo. Since his victory at Eurovision last May, the artist from Bienne has been on all fronts. After a series of summer concerts, Nemo is preparing to begin a new club tour in Switzerland from November 15, while celebrating the success of his latest single “Eurostar”.
The personality of the year according to “Attitude Magazine” has also just added another prestigious distinction to her list: the Best Swiss Act prize at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Facing the Eurovision star were Stress, Priya Ragu, Faber and Benjamin Amaru. The show took place in Manchester on November 10, 2024. Unfortunately, Nemo was not there.
On Instagram, Nemo wanted to express his gratitude in a message full of simplicity and warmth. “Thank you a million, a billion times over for this Best Swiss Act award at the EMAs,” we can hear in the video. “I thank everyone who voted. Honestly, you’re really cool for doing that.”
This award, which marks a year already rich in success, illustrates the special bond that Nemo maintains with its audience. “I hope you have an amazing time on the show. See you somewhere, someday. That’s for sure,” concludes the artist.
Pierre Garnier, the winner of the last “Star Academy”, received the “Best French Artist” prize. The evening was largely dominated by Taylor Swift, the great triumphant with four trophies, including Artist of the Year, Best Live Performance and Best Music Video for “Fortnight”, her collaboration with Post Malone. For her part, South African singer Tyla was not left out, leaving with three well-deserved distinctions.
