Saturday, Boulevard de l'Europe in Vandoeuvre-Lès-Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle)a man in his sixties was found dead after a fire which broke out in his appartementa studio located in a seven-story building.

According to The Republican Eastthe man was sick and had difficulty moving. At this point, the cause of his death is unknown.

An open investigation

“An investigation into the causes of death was opened following the trip of Mr. Fleury, deputy prosecutor, to the site,” indicates the Nancy prosecutor’s office, contacted by Lorraine News.

“We do not currently have any elements that would lead us to think of the intervention of a third party,” adds the latter.

45 people evacuated

“In all, 45 people were evacuated from the building“, explain the firefighters contacted by us.

“The neighbors were worried not to see the person on the ground floor, where the fire started. The body was discovered following reconnaissance,” they report.
