Synopsis:
Behind the ramparts of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the lifeless body of a woman is found in the swimming pool of a luxury hotel. The local gendarmerie saw Captain Marie Jourdan disembark (Mimie Mathy) of the Lyon judicial police, an atypical shock cop to say the least, who will lead the investigation with them without sparing the powerful local figures.
But soon, the strange actions of Captain Jourdan will question the real reasons for his presence on this affair…
The Price of Truth : the first investigation by the Marie Jourdan/Paul Danceny duo

The first embodies a determined, direct investigator who does not hesitate to tackle the issue of her small size head-on.
For his part, the second plays a more disciplined character and, following the departure of his wife, tends to be passive both at work and at home with his teenage daughter (Louna Espinosa) in the midst of a crisis.
A good little thriller
For this first episode of their adventures, Mimie Mathy And Mathieu Delarive are surrounded by several faces known to viewers. Let us cite in particular:
- Charles Clement (Cut, Such a big sun) as a gendarmerie commander not very happy to have Captain Jourdan in his hands by decision of the prosecutor’s substitute (Vanessa Liauteyseen in The Red Shadows And Research Section) ;
- Philippe Caroit as the owner of a luxury hotel with superior airs,
- Pierre-Yves Bon as a head-to-head daddy’s boy,
- Catherine Zavlav (Kabul Kitchen, Clear-eyed revenge) as a hotel accountant and girlfriend of the boss,
- Selma Kouchy in forensic medicine,
- Cécile Pallas (Mystery, Cain) as a doctor.
On the plot side, between a magnificent luxury hotel, a stud farm and a friendly Provençal bed and breakfast run by Captain Danceny, the fiction The Price of Truth offers a rather well-conducted story – even if the ending may seem a little quick – around its duo of investigators and a victim full of secrets, which will bring surprises and twists and turns.
On the production side, the director Emmanuel Rigaut and his team multiply the usual aerial shots around the magnificent town of Chateauneuf and even offers us some nice motorcycle stunts in a quarry.
