To accompany the release of its new album “Reflets”, Grand Corps Malade is back on stage with a new show not to be missed!
Presentation “Reflections”:
Initially, the idea crossed Grand Corps Malade's mind to title the album “Portraits” in the plural. He envisioned each song being a portrait of a specific person, thing, or place. However, over time this notion evolved, ultimately leading to the choice of the title “Reflets”. This title represents for him an opportunity to explore the thinking of society, to capture the spirit of an era, to grasp the elements that surround us. This approach opens the door to many of the themes covered in the album.
The way we look at each other, our own reflection in the mirror or in the eyes of others. “The more personal my text is, the more I talk about myself, the more I talk about you, it’s strange. It's a strange system, it's a strange law. I think our reflections mix. I no longer know if it was you who inspired me, I no longer know who the mirror of the other is. I write about this doubt and this ambiguity. That’s why my songs are yours.”
