He launches a fundraiser for his parents at the campsite after the fire in their apartment in Dordogne

He is launching a fundraiser because his parents and his 12-year-old brother are forced to sleep at the campsite. A couple and their son can no longer return to their apartment in Thiviers, since a fire started Saturday morning. The hot water tank caught fire, and although the fire was quickly extinguished, the apartment was uninhabitable.

“Everything is ruined”

“The whole kitchen caught fire, the ceiling will soon fall I think”, says Quentin. He no longer lives there, but his parents and his 12-year-old brother were surprised by the fire of their cumulus Saturday morning. “In the other rooms, it’s soot, the walls are completely black. And with what the firefighters sprayed, everything is ruined”, he explains. There are the household appliances, the electronic devices, the sofa… And everything that was stored in the cellar.

“Even in the frames, the photos, we no longer see anything”, adds Quentin. Black smoke spread throughout the apartment. The Thiviers town hall provided clothes to the family and relocated them to the Thiviers campsite. It’s reserved until July 16, “but they are not going to stay there indefinitely. We have to find an apartment”, explains Quentin. To help his family, he decided to launch an online prize pool.

The family took out whatever belongings they could after the fire.
