The 4th game of the Stanley Cup final took everyone by surprise last night as the Oilers, who had lost the first three games, completely dominated the Panthers by a score of 8-1.
The goal of Darnell Nurse after 5 minutes in the 2nd period, the score was 5-1 and Paul Maurice has exited Sergei Bobrovsky of the meeting, he who until then had been practically perfect in the playoffs.
A few minutes later, things got heated behind the Panthers net and shots were exchanged including a series ofuppercuts in the face of the Oilers captain Connor McDavid by Sam Bennett And Matthew Tkachuk. The infraction landed both men in the penalty box for roughing, which was probably the least of their worries with the game trailing 5-1.
In a post-match interview, McDavid answered questions from journalists regarding this sequence and clearly did not let himself be intimidated by the attacks of the Panthers players.
I didn’t throw a lot of punches. It’s not the game I want to play, it’s not my job, I’m just here to make sure no one is outnumbered. I thought Hyman was getting doubled by Bennett and Tkachuk and I just tried to step up and do my part as a teammate. Everyone needs to get involved in these moments.

The two teams will meet in Florida on Tuesday for the 5th game of this series. The Panthers will then have the chance to win the first Stanley Cup in their history in front of their fans.
