The test to watch on television, streaming on France 2: reviews and information
Summary :
Annie Castillon is happy. Her married life with Laurent is an example of harmony. His two grown-ups, Maximilien and César, are brilliant and sensitive boys. And Poupi, his young teenager, supports him without ever complaining in the education of Antoine, the youngest. During a weekend like any other, the discovery of a positive pregnancy test in the bathroom will ruin all this beautiful harmony.
Excerpt from the review of Culture Bubbles on the feature film The test written when it was released in cinemas:
Sparkling, Alexandra Lamy is bright in the film. The established actress radiates her comic aura to the young actors/actresses with whom she shares the bill, all of whom are terribly endearing. They manage to form a beautiful cinema family together.
Filming secrets, anecdotes: did you know?
- It’s the 2nd feature film by Emmanuel Poulain-Arnaud.
- In the press kit, the director returned to the genesis of the film : “It all started from the following question: How do you react to discovering a positive pregnancy test at home whose origin you don’t know?
(…) My co-writer Noé Debré and I transposed this question within a family. This discovery seemed to us a perfect starting point to paint a portrait through the eyes of a mother, Annie, who will discover, during the course of her investigation, that she has missed the essential point. Like a grain of sand that would disrupt the well-regulated daily life of this ordinary family, the pregnancy test will act as a revealer and confront Annie with the little secrets of her children and her husband, but also with her own questions as a woman. . Ultimately it’s a test for everyone.” - There original music was composed by Julien Glabs (Small Victories).
