The dissolution of the National Assembly and the calling of new legislative elections on June 30 and July 7 caused a political crisis in France. The various political parties have until Sunday June 16, at 6 p.m., to finalize their official lists of candidates.
On the left, the New Popular Front, which brings together LFI, PS, PCF and Greens, presented an ambitious “rupture” program on Friday. But LFI excluded historical figures of the party for the nominations. On the right, the Paris judicial court, seized by Éric Ciotti, invalidated Friday evening his exclusion from the presidency of the Republicans. The RN has established the New Popular Front as its “main adversary”, while mobilizations are taking place across the country this weekend against Jordan Bardella’s party.
