Friday, November 8, Bruno Dujean brought together the municipal council for an agenda including several deliberations linked to work carried out and therefore to expenditure commitments, which had been prepared and discussed during a meeting of the finance committee at which belong to three members of the opposition.
One of the main deliberations included the completion of the roof repair work on the three municipal housing units located at 39, rue du Caviar (two apartments and a studio). This work, which benefited from good weather conditions, has just been completed and its cost amounts to 24,302 euros including tax.
Road maintenance
Another important delegation consisted of the signing of an estimate for grinding and pruning work which will be carried out by the company Littoral environment. They mainly concern the maintenance of municipal roads, knowing that the only employee of the municipality dedicated to roads only maintains the numerous stony paths of Chenac-Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet.
At the start of the session, elected officials voted favorably for the delegation of attribution to the mayor to sign spending commitments, which are not capped since they are debated and discussed beforehand in the finance committee when their amount exceeds 5,000 euros.
The council also approved the new regulations of the municipal library, which had been modified at the request of the volunteers who manage it, in particular to set new rules concerning the return of books.
Elected officials also followed the mayor in the repurchase of the IV license belonging to the restaurant “Le Chenacais” which closed its doors a few months ago. Its cost is around 15,000 euros and the elected officials plan to rent it and not resell it to the new buyer of this establishment.
During various questions, a resident of the town asked to speak to highlight an illegal dumping of used tires on a town road in a place called La Borde. A registration number having been noted, a complaint will be filed with the gendarmerie.
