His absence allows Casper Ruud, Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev to complete the cast of which we already knew the first five actors: Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Madvedev and Taylor Fritz.
4.5 million euros awarded to the winner (if they finish undefeated)
This year, the tournament prize money amounts to 15,250,000 dollars (or a little more than 14,200,000 euros), a record. When we look in a little more detail, simple participation in the Masters ensures pocketing a little more than $330,000 (or a little less than €310,000) for each player if they play their three group matches.
The two replacements Girgor Dimitrov and Stefanos Tsitsipas are not left out either since without playing, they will pocket $155,000 (or a little less than €150,000). Also note that each group victory brings in just under $400,000 (or just under €370,000).

If the winner of the tournament wins all his matches, he is credited with a little more than $4,880,000 (or a little more than €4,500,000), the equivalent of the cumulative prize money of the winner of Roland Garros and the 'Australian Open.
