If there is an atypical and inventive person, it is Lise Whales, a forty-year-old who has put down her bags (temporarily) in the small village of Chameroyin the National Forest Park. Indeed, although she has been there for a little over two years, she only has one wish: to leave as quickly as possible. Not that she doesn't like the south of Haut-Marne, quite the contrary, but because the life of Lise, and of her companion Hervé, is made up of travel.
” Originally from Périgord, I lived in Limousin before leaving for a year in the United States, in Michigan, as an exchange student with the Rotary Club. On return, I studied in the environment and the management of natural spaces with, as a result, a license in maritime space management, before following my partner, an ONF forest ranger in Corsica. I was a SVT teacher there and we stayed there for six years.summarizes Lise.
From Europe… to whales
As lovers of travel, the couple agreed a first trip in 2008firstly a year in Europe to observe birds and more generally wildlife. “ We always travel with the main goal of discovering what 'remains' of Nature.underlines Lise. Barely back, we head to Le Havre to put the Van on the boat… and head towards South America.
Three years traveling the Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador… in particular by following the path of the whales. After four years in Châtillon-sur-Seine (ONF for Hervé, education assistant for Lise), departure again for America, but to the North and Central. This time for six years (2016-2022) with confinement in Nicaragua, by the beach “lucky because this country had no restrictions.”
