The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has arrested a 25-year-old man. He is accused of the murder of Deborah Owen, committed earlier this week. A police source told CBC News that the victim was the suspect’s mother.

The homicide occurred on Wednesday, June 12, around 11:15 a.m., in the block of 1200 Woodroffe Avenue, in Ottawa.

Deborah Owen57, was found dead by police who treated her death as a homicide the next day.

The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit has arrested and charged 25-year-old Ottawa man Tyler Lambert. He is charged with second degree murder. He is due to appear in court on Friday.
