The Valencian prime sector is enriched with new operators. The men’s fashion company Bexley and the children’s fashion company Tiny Cottons have just announced the opening of two establishments on Calle Sorní, in the heart of the Valencian “golden mile” of the distribution sector, as sources from the operation explained to idealista/news. These openings are in addition to those recently made by other brands such as Cold Culture et Yuxus.
Bexley, which targets a male audience and which recently opened an establishment on the Rambla de Cataluña in Barcelona, as reported by idealista/news, will set up at number 8 on Sorní street. It is a commercial ground floor previously occupied by a bank and has an approximate surface area of 500 m2. This will be Bexley’s 1st store in Valencia, which at the end of last year arrived in Madrid with its first monobrand store in the capital.
Since its creation in 1985Bexley has opened 32 establishments in France (28 stores), Belgium (2 stores) and Luxembourg. These are own stores in carefully chosen locations.
The Bexley boutique spaces are designed entirely in oak from ecologically managed forests, with ceiling-high double-depth cabinets in the walls to store pairs of shoes. All models are displayed in the showcase, so the customer can examine the entire collection at a glance.
For its part, the Catalan Tiny Cottons, specializing in children’s clothing, will take over the neighboring Bexley premises. This will be smaller, with a surface area of 150 m2.
Founded in 2012, Tiny Cottons offers a wide range of fun and edgy children’s fashion and recently added a women’s section. It currently has physical stores in Madrid and Barcelona and points of sale in different parts of the world, in addition to its online sales channel.
In Valencia’s retail market, street rents main have achieved competitive prices, reflecting the growing interest in these spaces. On Jorge Juan Street, for example, rents for commercial premises can be between 40 and 60 euros/m2 per month, depending on the exact location and visibility of the premises. This street, characterized by the presence of luxury brands and specialized boutiques, has experienced growth in recent years thanks to the influx of wealthy consumers and the proximity of points of tourist and cultural interest.
In Calle Sorní, rents are between 35 and 55 euros/m2 per month. Demand in this area remains strong, particularly due to the combination of fashion, gastronomy and service brands, making it an attractive option for local businesses and prestigious franchises. Calle Conde Salvatierra, on the other hand, offers similar prices, with rents between 30 and 50 euros/m2, and is a sought-after option due to its exclusive environment and regular clientele with high purchasing power.
These prices place retail in Valencia in a competitive position nationally, especially compared to Madrid or Barcelona, where rents tend to be higher in commercial areas with similar characteristics. The stability of rents in these streets reflects both the brands’ interest in Valencia and the growth potential of the retail sector in the city.
