Résumé. On Thursday April 6, 1972, the body of Brigitte Dewèvre, a 15-year-old teenager, was found on wasteland in the mining town of Bruay-en-Artois (Pas-de-Calais), behind a hedge which separates the workers' housing estates. beautiful bourgeois houses.
Brigitte is the third of 7 children, and her father, Léon Dewèvre, is a miner in one of the last coal deposits in the town. The investigators' suspicions are directed towards Pierre Leroy, 37, who is a notary in Bruay. The affair quickly took on a political dimension. The Proletarian Left, a far-left organization, very present in the city at that time, seized it and tried to make it a symbol of bourgeois oppression.
In Crime story, journalist Clawdia Prolongeau recounts this investigation with Damien Delseny, head of the police-justice department of Le Parisien.
