Prison for burning trash cans in Argentan during riots after Nahel's death

In the riots that ignited France in summer 2023he wanted to do like everyone else and set fire to garbage containers in Argentan (Orne), by means of cocktails molotov.

A case which echoes the events of the summer of 2023, a period during which France was ignited following the death of young Nahel in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine). Ce July 2, 2023some residents of Argentan did not want to be left out and in turn decided to setting fire to trash containers.

The next day, surveillance was set up in the same neighborhood. In a cellar, they will discover molotov cocktails, bottles of hydrochloric acid, paint sprays and other objects which they will seize and send to the laboratory for analysis. The public prosecutor, who regrets the absence of the accused, requested, as a repression, an eight-month prison sentence without adjustment in the state.

The defendant, originally from Gardanne (Bouches-du-Rhône), was found guilty of destroying property belonging to another by dangerous means, as a repeat offender. He is sentenced to a sentence of six months in prison in addition to the ban on possessing a weapon for five years.
