It was an accidental fire which broke out on Thursday November 7, 2024 shortly before 10 p.m., in the cellar of a beauty salon located at 23 rue de Verdun, in Neubourg.
The disaster caused a significant release of smoke throughout the business, which also includes a spa.
Ventilation of premises
In total, 17 firefighters were mobilized. The fire was extinguished using a hose. The emergency services then proceeded to ventilate all the premises, clearing up and stripping away the burned objects to prevent any resumption of the fire.
Teams from GrDF and Enedis intervened, as well as the Neubourg gendarmerie. Four people are technically unemployed for an indefinite period, specifies the Sdis (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service). According to the first elements of the investigation, it was an accident caused by an electrical device.
Thursday morning, two washing machines blackened by the flames were still placed on the sidewalk.
