On the day of the event, the victim, a 43-year-old man, went to take an acquaintance, whom he had met on social networks, to a park located along the Saint-Laurent River in the borough of Pierrefonds. -Roxboro.
Arriving at his destination, the victim was allegedly violently pulled out of his vehicle and beaten by three individuals. The victim managed to escape, but was caught by his three alleged attackers and one of them then stabbed him.
Despite his injuries, the man managed to escape again and finally managed to get to safety to call 911 and report the attack.
During the altercation, the suspects allegedly took his cell phone and bank card and withdrew $3,000 from the victim’s account.
The three suspects were arrested on October 30.
The first to be apprehended was a 22-year-old man. He was at the Montreal courthouse for another matter when the police made the arrest.
The second, a man also aged 22, was in the city center when he was apprehended. “Due to the level of risk he presented, it was the Tactical Intervention Group which carried out his arrest,” underlines the SPVM in a press release.
The third suspect, a suspect, was in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville district when she was arrested by the police.
Another 24-year-old woman allegedly linked to one of the suspects was also arrested the same day in her apartment in Longueuil. A search at this location resulted in the recovery of an illegal 40 caliber firearm and ammunition.
The four individuals appeared at the Montreal courthouse for charges related to these events. They will remain in detention until the next stage of legal proceedings.
