We are going to take a tour of the Pierre Rajon stadium with Martin Doan, one of the senior players in the locker room and vice-captain of the CSBJ who will face, this Friday, his training club, SC Albi during the 10th day of the National .
Today is a special moment for you because this Friday evening, in Rajon, you are going to play for the first time against your training club and I imagine that this match has a particular importance for you?
It's clear, the first time I've found them since I left so yes, a little emotion and a desire to do well. So I can't wait to be at this match to face the Albigensians.
An Albi club which has evolved since you left and where a lot of faces have changed?
Almost the entire team and staff so it's true that it's a team that I don't know too much, even if I've still come to the Stadium quite a few times to watch matches. So I want all the more to show a good image of myself and to have a big match against this team which is my favorite team.
It also comes at a pivotal moment for the CSBJ because you remain on 3 defeats in a row. Are we going to say that it is a commando mission, an obligatory victory to relaunch the dynamic and stem the vicious circle?
That's it, we're on a bad dynamic so we're keen to give Pierre Rajon a big match and get back to winning ways. We know that we are capable of doing great things, we showed it in the last 3 despite the defeats so today, we are switching to the positive, we want to win to try to launch a dynamic and build on that.
When we look at the matches in full, we see that you are not that far away, you lose but you are not far away? Are we going to say that this is the story of the coin which does not land on the right side?
The problem is that we have an air gap every time and that's what costs us the matches. We are a reaction team, we manage to react well each time and come back into matches but we are lacking a little time so it is up to us to play complete matches. I think that by playing complete matches, we will succeed in building a victory which will allow us to build in the long term, but it is up to us to play a complete match on Friday to reassure ourselves and obtain a victory.
You've been near Isère and Bourgoin for almost a year. How do you feel about this club?
I think everyone knows it, it's a historic club due to its past. He trained big players, many big names came through Bourgoin with a big front pack, hard on the man and names like Chabal, Papé and others. It's a club that has enormous values, a bit of the same that I knew during the Méloche era in Albi, so it's a club that we can only admire but today, it's It’s up to us to put it forward and win to give it back.
It's a club where you seem to have integrated well because barely a year after your arrival, you are already vice-captain?
It's thanks to the players and the staff, I integrated very well, I was very well received, I felt very good very quickly. I needed this new impetus to relaunch myself too because I had a lot of injuries and I am very happy today, I have flourished so that is the main thing.
In your opinion, what will be the key to this match between Bourgoin and Albi?
The key, it's going to be a big fight for 80 minutes. We know that Albi is a team that is strong up front, that has a big scrum and a big maul, we will have to work hard for 80 minutes, not give up and I think that victory will be in the end. You must never give up until the 80th.
Thank you, we wish you a good match and a great season for the sky and garnet
Merci.
