Russian bombings overnight left one dead and nine injured in Odessa. Kyev and Kharkiv received a rain of drones, some of which were intercepted.

Attacks by the Russian army increased during the night from Thursday to Friday.
At least 25 people were injured, including a 3-month-old baby, in a strike on a 12-story apartment building in Kharkiv. Igor Terekhov, the mayor of the city spoke about “people stuck on the third floor of the building”. Rescue operations were still underway as of mid-morning. All the windows of the surrounding buildings were blown out by the explosion.
A drone attack also targeted the port city ofOdessain the south of the country, and its suburbs, causing at least the death of one person and injuring around ten others. A school was hit in this attack as well as other residential buildings, businesses, warehouses and cars. Firefighters battled through the night to put out the fires.
In Kyiv, missile debris injured 4 people, one seriously.
On its Telegram account, the Ukrainian army claims to have destroyed around sixty Russian drones launched during the night. Cruise missiles were also intercepted in the morning.
In recent months, the number of night air attacks carried out by the Russian army using drones has increased significantly. Ukrainian authorities accuse Russia of seeking to exhaust Ukraine’s air defenses and undermine the morale of the civilian population as the war nears the 1,000-day mark.
In the east of the country, Russian forces also continue their advance, intensifying pressure on Ukrainian lines.
According to the Ukrainian army, Russia launched more than 2,000 attack drones in October alone.
