On the eve of the Angers/PSG match, the club announced the surprise absence of Willian Pacho, who was authorized to return to Ecuador on Thursday.
PSG travels to Angers this Saturday evening (9 p.m.) as part of the 11th day of Ligue 1, just before a new international break, the third already since the start of the season. And PSG has just announced that Willian Pacho was exempt from the trip to Angers and would not train this Friday morning at the Campus.
The Ecuadorian central defender was authorized by the sports management of PSG and Luis Enrique's staff to travel to Ecuador on Thursday, before joining his selection. PSG did not specify whether this early departure for the country was linked to a possible family problem of the player or simply to his participation in the next two very important matches in Ecuador. Remember that Pacho is the PSG player who has played the most since the start of the season with 1197 minutes played out of 1260 possible and it is very likely that the club wanted him to breathe near his team.
Ecuador will play two big matches in November
Currently 5th in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup with 13 points (the first 6 in the South Am Zone are directly qualified for the competition), Ecuador will host Bolivia (7th with 12 points) on November 15 at 1 a.m. French, before facing Colombia (2nd with 19 points) on November 20, at midnight, French time.
In addition to Willian Pacho, Luis Enrique should be deprived of Presnel KimpembeLucas Hernandez et Gonçalo Ramos facing Angers. The absence of the Ecuadorian central defender could benefit young central defender Naoufel El Hannachwho returned with the U19s this week in the Youth League. Not summoned with Brazil for the truce, Lucas Beraldo could also take advantage of Pacho's absence to play in Angers.
