François Hollande changes roles: his big announcement takes everyone by surprise!

Between two meetings at the National Assembly, François Hollande is launching a new challenge. The deputy for Corrèze releases his first podcast entitled A president should listen to thisreports Franceinfo. The first episode will be broadcast this Saturday, November 9 and will focus on the American elections, with Amy K. Green, specialist in the United States, as the first guest. To debate each of the subjects covered in his podcast, the former President of the Republic wishes to invite one or two specialists. “I’m the one asking questions.”explains Julie Gayet’s husband to Franceinfo. He adds that he will not answer questions, but will not refrain from intervening from time to time either. “My interest is to have a little humility, to say to myself that I myself am trying to understand and that I am inviting people that I have been lucky enough to be able to ask because I am in a situation and that I make myself available to others”declares François Hollande.

Through this podcast, he hopes to reach a new audience. “To reach a certain number of people who would not necessarily come to listen to me when I hold meetings, conferences”, adds the former head of state. He also wants a younger audience to be able to listen to him, “because I know that many follow me and they are always interested when I go to high schools or universities.” For this podcast, the MP does not lack self-deprecation since the title of his new project refers to the book A president shouldn’t say thatwritten by journalists Gérard Davet and Fabrice Lhomme after five years of private interviews with François Hollande. “I think it’s important to transmit, but above all to listen,” adds the politician. “The criticism that we most often level at political leaders and, more generally, at politics, is that they ignore part of the reality, that they are far away, distant, haughty. And there, A president should listen to that, it’s good for everyone. We have to listen if we want to act.” he says.

Would François Hollande be appreciated again among the socialists?

In recent months, it has been difficult for François Hollande to make himself heard by the socialists. Again at the beginning of October, the deputy for Corrèze made a misstep by calling for a new congress of the Socialist Party to be organized at the beginning of 2025 to elect “a new figure to lead the Socialist Party (PS) to allow a gathering and an opening“, he said during an interview for The parliamentary channel. A gesture perceived by some people as an attempt to oust Olivier Faure. But recently, Julie Gayet’s husband seems to have succeeded in improving his image. Questioned by Challenges magazine, a new PS deputy spoke of the strength of conviction of the former head of state. “His word is gold; everyone listens to him, including the ex-rebels who spoiled his mandate. Here they are Dutch!“, we can read.
