A day of reflection and mobilization on housing and housing was deemed necessary in greater St-Jérôme.
This event, which will take place on Friday, was launched by the Rivière-du-Nord Community Development Corporation.
It will bring together nearly 130 participants and a wide range of stakeholders to discuss crucial housing issues in the Quartier 50+ in Saint-Jérôme.
In the context of the housing crisis and the increase in the cost of living, the role of municipalities in the development of social and affordable housing and the new powers that cities have in matters of housing will be discussed.
A monitoring team from the CISSS des Laurentides will also make a presentation of the portrait of housing and housing in the municipalities of the MRC of La Rivière-du-Nord.
