Héloïse, 17 years old, was found dead in an apartment in RouenSunday October 20. The suspect, the victim's former boyfriend, was indicted and imprisoned this Thursday, the prosecution announced. He got escaped from hospital psychiatric care where he was placed after his arrest at Saint-Lazare station in Paris, while he was fleeing.
The young man of 22 had been placed in police custody but this measure had been lifted, his condition requiring placement in psychiatric care. Late Wednesday afternoon, he fled from the Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray hospital center. He was quickly located in Rouen and arrested by the police, said the public prosecutor, Sébastien Gallois, in a press release. “Placed in detention on an arrest warrant, he was presented to court today (Thursday), indicted for aggravated murder and placed under a committal warrant,” he adds.
“An initial feedback was immediately carried out” by the hospital center and a “national police security referent” which led to the taking of immediate measures to strengthen building security and the monitoring system, underlines Mr. Gallois.
