Update: added prices in euros for the Vision Pro.
WWDC 2024 is off to a flying start with the presentation of visionOS 2 which has already replaced the first OS offered by the Cupertino company. But it is above all the announcement of the release of the Apple Vision Pro in France that catches our attention.
The headset will in fact be available from July 12 in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. We suspected that the release outside the United States was imminent and it is now a certainty.
Apple Vision Pro in France: dates and prices
Pre-orders for the Vision Pro in France will open on June 28, 2024 at 2 p.m. The helmet will be available in stores and delivered from July 12, 2024. In summary:
- June 28: online pre-order (from 2 p.m.)
- July 12: start of deliveries and in-store sales
Be careful though, you may know it, but the helmet is not cheap: count €3,999 to acquire the basic version with 256 GB of storage, without specific Zeiss optics.
visionOS 2: Apple Vision Pro reaches a milestone
And to spoil the owners of its helmet, the apple brand has introduced a series of new features which should be appreciated.
We particularly note this option which allows you to adapt any photo into “Spatial Photos”. Understand by this that you will be able to add an effect of depth to all of your photos, which does not lack originality and could in certain cases add character to an image.
Among the other notable new features, we note the addition of support for new virtual screen resolutions, and the arrival of HealthKit support. But the Tech giant also insisted on improvements regarding Spatial Videos. They can be edited in Final Cut Pro or on the Video platform. In the future, third-party cameras will even be able to record Spatial Videos. As promised, the Cupertino company is announcing various upcoming events in an “immersive video” experience.
