Euro 2024: where to watch the Red Devils matches on a giant screen in Picardy Wallonia? (our map)

Euro 2024 begins on Friday. As for the band’s first match at Tedesco, it is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m., against Slovakia. 18 months after a controversial World Cup organized in the fall in Qatar, supporters hope to relive an atmosphere worthy of a great popular festival. In Picardy Wallonia, some had chosen the opposite approach in 2022, taking advantage of the broadcast of the matches to raise funds for Amnesty International. This was the case of the parents’ association of the Saint-Joseph free school, in Ellezelles and the collective 2 l’Aut’ Côté, in Mouscron. The two organizations are once again broadcasting the three Red Devils group matches.

To find new things, you have to look for Roucourt And Ollignies. What do the two sites have in common? The setting: green, rural and bucolic. Open since December 2023, the Orangery of the Château de la Morlière in Ollignies (Lessines) has taken the challenge of bringing people together around football. “By opening the restaurant, we already wanted to focus on events via concerts or summer festivities”, remembers Anne-Sophie, the boss. “Euro 2024 ticks all the boxes. The idea is to bring life to the brewery and more generally to the town. Because there are few broadcasters in the region. We benefit from an external setting which allows us to do it in good conditions and to attract a family audience, so why deprive ourselves of it?” A dress rehearsal has already taken place during the Belgium – Luxembourg friendly match. “We received the giant screen on the day of the match. So we improvised a retransmission which allowed us to get our bearings”, concludes the owner of the Orangerie.

40 kilometers away, the Domaine d’Arondeau is also counting on the Red Devils to electrify the start of its summer. In Roucourt, the setting is idyllic, almost enchanting. It will also appeal to the supporters of our national team. The organization promises moments “intense and unforgettable” and a taste supply that lives up to the reputation of the place.
