Since its creation at the beginning of September 2018 by the association of three “nannies”, the childminder house has welcomed children on the floor of the old Post Office. “ It is a definite asset for the village to have a reception establishment for toddlers, it can attract young couples who will easily find childcare for their future children and in fact, maintain the staff of our RPI », Explains Mayor Lionel Cayet.
The project, supported by the municipality which acquired the premises and took charge of the work to bring it up to standard and repair it, seemed to satisfy the families but the places were then limited to ten children. As the ground floor became vacant, and requests grew, a new thought emerged to dedicate the entire building to childminders.
It’s done and there are now sixteen toddlers who are welcomed by Aurélie Huppe, Virginie Dubus, Corinne Morel, Pauline Baèler and Allison Stiller. Some extracurricular activities are added depending on available times. “ The expansion allows us to practice many activities for children, including motor skills, plastic arts, and to design highlights throughout the year depending on the seasons. Children also have an enclosed courtyard, where a henhouse and a vegetable patch are set up. Safe stroller outings on the greenway are regularly organized. »
